Sales Job Description

 

 

Objective: To facilitate the sales of tractors, farm equipment, and outdoor power equipment.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell tractors, farm equipment, and outdoor power equipment
  • Understand and have the ability to explain all retail finance programs to customers
  • Submit customer credit application for credit approval
  • Prepare and complete all retail contracts with customer
  • Submit retail contracts to finance company for funding to the dealership
  • Provide copies of retail contracts to the accounting department, dealer principal, and a copy for the customer files
  • Invoice customer using dealership business system
  • Maintain customer information and wholegoods inventory in business system
  • Have the ability to price stocking and non-stocking wholegoods inventory
  • Maintain profit margins required buy dealer principal
  • Consult with dealer principal on all trade-in values before accepting trades
  • Provide bid pricing or state contract pricing to the local or state government agencies
  • Coordinate and schedule the assembly and preparation of new and used equipment with the service department
  • Provide a through demonstration of the safe operation and service points on the equipment purchased
  • Schedule the delivery of new equipment with dealer principal
  • Unload and receive wholegoods inventory from shipper or trucking company
  • Check the serial number on each whole good against the packing list for discrepancies
  •  Note any discrepancies, shortages, or physical damage before signing the bill of lading
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift while loading and unloading wholegoods
  • Complete the provided forklift training safety course and pass written exam
  • Responsible for the rotation of aging inventory and keeping dealer inventory rotated on the lot
  • Must maintain the inventory in sellable condition at all times
  • Equipment must be separated and organized by vendor and type when displayed on the lot
  • Answer, receive, and return all incoming sales calls
  • Required to respond daily to all sales leads from www.allseasonsfarm.com
  • Follow up with all sales leads through e-mail or return phone call
  • Web site maintained of new and used equipment and the posting of participating retail finance programs
  • Assist the Parts Manager with incoming phone calls, parts look up, and walk in customers at the counter
  • Unload and receive parts inventory from shipper or trucking company
  • Note any discrepancies, shortages, or physical damage before signing the bill of lading for the parts department
  • Give all packing list or bill of laden to Parts Manager
  • Assist the service department as needed

Job Description

Service Technician

 

I.                   Job Outline:

Responsible for the effective repair of tractors and equipment

A.     Recondition and repair all equipment assigned as directed

B.     Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs

C.     Maintain and care for shop tools, specialty tools, shop equipment, and vehicles

D.     Communicate with others professionally

E.      Perform diagnostic inspections as directed

F.      Follows ASFE parts and service procedure

G.     Maintains excellent customer and employee relations

 

 

     II:  Duties

            A: Recondition and repair of tractors and equipment

·        Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned

·        Order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs

·        Ensure that the ASFE parts and service procedure are completed                     

·        Repairs are made in a safe and effective manner

·        Ensure that all repairs are completed as assigned

·        Ensure the cosmetic appearance upon the completion as required

·        Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned to the parts manager

·        Maintain the work area in a clean and safe position

B:  Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outsides purchases in repairs

·        All record keeping methods follow ASFE parts and service procedure

·        All cost related items are accurately recorded

·        Ensure all records are kept ledgible

C. Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment and vehicles

·        All specialty tools used on the job are cleaned and returned to the original location in working condition

D:  Communicate with other professionally

·        All communications with customers is conducted  in a manner reflecting respect and honesty

·        All communications with co-workers is conducted in a professional manner

E:  Perform diagnostic inspections as directed

·        All inspections are completed with cause of failure identified

·        All failures identified are matched to solutions necessary to affect repair

SKILL REQUISITES

·        Problem solver

·        Strong mechanical skills

·        Working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions

·        Strong diagnostic skills

·        Good communication skills

·        Good safe work habits

 

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

 

A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
